Thank you to all of you who visited us in the Plant Heritage Marquee at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show back in July, when we renewed our partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society for the fifth year running. The sun was shining and our new summer soups and quiches were a perfect accompaniment to a beautiful summer’s day.

For those of you that sampled our soup, you’re probably wondering who won our hugely popular recipe vote competition. Although it was a close race, our Borlotti Bean, Bacon & Ditalini Pasta came out as your favourite.

So look out for the Borlotti Bean, Bacon & Ditalini Pasta recipe in your local supermarket this autumn!

Our chefs have created two delicious new recipes, packed with fresh and natural ingredients… perfect for the last few weeks of summer! Our Sunshine Yellow Tomato soup combines vibrant yellow plum tomatoes, with carrots, butternut squash and a few red chilli flakes to deliver a perfectly smooth soup sensation.

Vibrant yellow sweetcorn gems give our new Spicy Sweetcorn recipe an added bite. Blended with potatoes, cream, onions and oak-smoked garlic, this is a summer soup with it’s own subtle warmth.

We’ve also brought back your old favourites; Pea & Mint, Gazpacho and Summer Vegetable, so you’ll be spoilt for choice!

So whether the weather is warm and sunny, or wet and windy, our soups are sure to keep the sun shining on the inside!

We specialise in hearty soups for the colder months, but once the Mercury rises to double figures (let alone anything close to starting with a ‘2’, heaven forbid), we tend to look for something lighter to eat.

Along with some of our other soups for Summer, our new Melon Gazpacho Soup of the Month is a deliciously refreshing recipe that can of course be eaten hot, but is rather decadent served chilled. Ideal as a summery starter, or fun when served in ice-cold shot glasses. So pour into your pre-cooled Thermos® flasks, pack it alongside your other picnic favourites, and head outside to enjoy a celebration of Summer.

As the weather continues to warm up and bumper sunscreen promotions appear in the shops, we’ve begun dusting off our BBQ’s, determined we will use them more than we did last year - come rain or shine! Our new Potato Salad Soup of the Month is sure to get you in the mood for summer. Our chefs have combined salad potatoes, crème fraiche, spring onions and chives to create a sublime summer’s day treat. It’s deliciously tangy when served cold, yet heart warming when served hot. We love topping ours with some crispy, smoked bacon pieces!
